Custom Forged Gears & Pinions
At Cornell Forge Co., we manufacture high-strength, closed-die forged gears and pinions designed for demanding power transmission applications. Built strictly to customer prints, our mid-to-high volume production capabilities serve OEMs across the agricultural, off-highway, defense, and heavy industrial markets.
Our closed-die forging process refines the internal grain structure of the steel to follow the exact contour of the gear or pinion. This uninterrupted grain flow delivers superior fatigue resistance and impact strength that cast or machined-from-bar alternatives cannot match, in a near-net shape that cuts machining time.
We custom forge a variety of power transmission components, including:
- Gears
- Ring gears
- Gear blanks
- Gear shafts
- Pinions
