State-of-the-Art Inspection & Quality Control Processes

At Cornell Forge, we utilize cutting-edge equipment and comprehensive inspection and quality control processes that take our forging work to the next level. Some of these include:

  • Customer-Focused Quality Metrics. We track on-time delivery rates and other key performance indicators (KPIs) with the continual goal of improving customer satisfaction.
  • Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). The inspection process verifies the ability of a supplier to manufacture parts consistently to meet the customers’ exact specifications. PPAP provides a detailed report of the inspection process of parts that occurs before, during, and after production.
  • Romer Robotic Arm. Our Romer arm is used to scan dies before production and attain sample approval. It provides unsurpassed dimensional data capture and quality assurance when inspecting forged parts.
  • Statistical Process Control (SPC). We use this industry-standard methodology to control and measure quality during manufacturing, obtaining process or product measurements in real time.
  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives. Our team relies on customer feedback to implement improvements, with routine quality reviews and audits.

Certifications & Awards

Cornell Forge is a recognized leader in metalworking with almost a century of experience behind our work. Our team offers unparalleled expertise backed by major industry certifications and quality awards.

Certifications

ISO 9001:2015 Certified
We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company that achieves dependable quality by maintaining strict process controls. We keep robust preventative maintenance schedules to keep our equipment in top-performing condition so it can consistently produce to exact client specifications.

At Cornell Forge, we are prepared to meet quality requirements ranging from basic tolerances to advanced, non-destructive testing. Our rigorous quality processes allow us to guarantee the internal integrity of our products and parts, providing standout results every time without the hidden costs of poor workmanship.

Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) Certified
With our PED certification, we can provide our clients with the following:

  1. Access to the European Market. All pressure equipment used or sold in the European Union (EU) requires mandatory PED certification. Our clients can legally market their products in the European Economic Area (EEA), providing a competitive edge over non-certified suppliers.
  2. Increased Competitiveness. PED certification provides a competitive edge for bidding on projects, as many contractors require or prefer certified equipment for compliance and safety reasons.
  3. International Recognition. As a globally recognized certification, many non-European countries accept PED as a standard for safety and quality, making it easier to enter international markets beyond Europe.
